HOW TO PREPARE SNAILS FOR COOKING

Snails are rich nutritious food that nourishes the body..... Snails
can be used in any African delicacy
*protects the body against heart diseases and cancer
*It's acid helps in reduction of cholesterol in the body

So i would recommend snail for people with HBP and people who wants to
lower the amount of fat/cholesterol in the body

Then when I was a teenager I would just look for a easy way out put
all the snail in a bowl take BIG stone and crush them all (no
shaking), but you know as the saying goes the easy way out is not
always the best way out....
it's always rough....

This is how my mama taught me

THINGS YOU'LL NEED
1. Alum Or Lime
2. Water
3. Bowl
4. Knife

STEP 1:
Pour Water in a bowl add alum


STEP 2:
Take a Snail, crack open the tip of the shell open with the blunt
edge of your knife pierce the fleshy part of the snail with a fork
or knife and drag out

STEP 3:
Remove the irrelevant part and put it into the water with alum ;
Repeat this procedure till all snails are out of the shell...

STEP 4:
Wash till the snail is free from slime
Chop as preferred....

METHOD 2
STEP 1: pour your snail in a pot add water and set on stove/gas and
boil for 5 - 7 mins

STEP 2: swing it out a bit and voila its out!

* you can wash with lemon instead of alum

C'est simple comme bonjour!
